I’ve always had a fascination for writing and a love for mysteries. The Hardy Boys occupied my adolescent years. As an adult, I escaped into the world of romance and suspense. My passion for reading has encouraged me to write my own stories. Composing a full-length novel without knowing how became a real challenge.

While working on a programming degree, I’ve attended several extra semesters of Basic English, Freshman Composition and Creative Writing. The composition and creative writing courses helped me develop my comparative and analytical skills in breaking down a novel to study how it worked for the reader. To continue my education, I completed the Writer’s Digest Novel Writing course presented by Writer’s Digest online. This course was beneficial in improving my understanding of receiving and giving critiques.

I have a few unfinished short stories and one completed manuscript, which earned high points in contests.

I’m currently attending Seton Hill University’s Writing Popular Fiction program. With emphasis on genre fiction, this program gives me an opportunity to work with a mentor and the greatest community of writers.

Outside of writing, I’m a wife and mother of two, and I work outside the home. My full time job at MarathonNorco Aerospace, Inc. immerses me in the world of network communications and programming databases. My family and I are big NASCAR fans. When I’m not watching my son race the local dirt tracks, I’m working on scrapbooks and web designs.
